She’s so lucky, she’s a star.
Putting the corny Britney Spears’ quote aside, this sweet lacy Lucky Brand shirt is pretty amazing. I snagged this shirt on a trip to Marshall’s recently. I love pieces with a little boho style hippie vibe to them and I was totally having a moment that day while shopping. Everything I picked up had a little bohemian flare and eight of the ten pieces were Lucky Brand. When I was a freshman in college I worked at Buckle (a whopping 16 years ago!) so I used to have lots of Lucky jeans and a few other items but I can’t say that I have bought anything from this brand since then.
Speaking of Lucky jeans, do they still have that little cheeky saying on the fly?
There’s a lot I love about this shirt. It’s made of a super soft and drapey waffle-weave material making a flowy silhouette that is very flattering. Basically it’s the ultimate boho style shirt. My absolute favorite detail though would have to be the sleeves. The sleeves are made from a gorgeous, feminine lace that gives the shirt a vintage feel. Hands down, the embroidered lace sleeve detail is why I bought this shirt.
Originally, I planned to pair the shirt with pale pink shorts but I could never find any. Bright pink shorts were easy to find but they were such a harsh contrast against the soft, feminine details of the lace. I stumbled across these pale blush pink jeans when on my hunt for an inexpensive pair of white jeans. I tried them on two or three times before actually buying them but I am so glad that I did. Don’t you just love the contrast of the pink again the green palm trees? I think these palms would take any outfit up a notch though.
Since I put on this outfit for a night out to dinner at the beach, I wanted to add a little sparkle but nothing crazy. These studs from J.Crew Factory were perfect. They were a birthday present and are no longer available but I listed some similar pairs below.
